Sunken WWII Japanese sub found off Oahu
The remains of two high-tech World War II Japanese submarines designed to attack the United States mainland have been found off Oahu. The search for the subs is chronicled in a new "Hunt for the Samurai Subs" program on The National Geographic Channel. (National Geographic Photo)

Col. Millett, Korean War Medal of Honor recipient, dies
Retired Col. Lewis L. Millett, who received the Medal of Honor during the Korean War for leading what was reportedly the last major American bayonet charge, has died at the age of 88.

Stolen valor: Palm Springs man charged
Steve Burton's decision to attend his high school reunion wearing a Marine Corps uniform with the Navy Cross along with the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and other medals was not a good one. Neither were his Internet postings claiming to be a veteran. Charges have now been filed against the non-veteran.

Army testing XM-25 'smart' weapon
The Army plans on purchasing more than 12,500 XM-25 systems starting in 2012, which will be enough to put one in each Infantry squad and Special Forces team, according to officials at Program Executive Office-Soldier. The new gun features a array of sights, sensors and lasers.
