Had a little time to look at some of the medieval veil pictures in your
article. There's a great one of a two-tailed veil (IIRC) as a
decoration on one of the last pages of _The Medieval Woman's Book of
Days_. I think it's a woman on a horse, wielding a distaff as a spear,
about to joust with a knight.
However, someone else will have to look for it, as all my books are in
