Someday when we finally get them finished, our household fighters will
all have a blue sash with the household badge (household colors are blue
and white) on them to wear on their belts, its starts out something like
9 inches wide by 44 in long in a unfinished state and ended up being 4
inches wide by 43 inches long when finished, they still need the
embroidery done at this point, and will hang doubled over their belts.
Much longer then the fingertip towel favors used a lot, sorry that is
the name a really sarcastic friend calls the normal favors. I'm planning
make a Mongol pouch favor for my husband (Mongol persona) in the
future, when his current favor, an inkle band in my colors bites the
dust; and of course for Crown tourneys he has a really nice large favor,
his fighting vest which has my device across the whole thing, our
current king told us that was nice favor in the last crown tourney. My
husband tend to think as a Mongol he wouldn't be fighitng in a crown
tourney for any reason except for me so he wants to wear my colors and
device very prominently.
The Outlands several fighting awards that utilize red embroidered sashes
so that is why we chose a sash for the fighters; its more for the
household fighter (or waterbearers, chirugeons, etc.) to identify each
other in melees so that the fighters can get back together and return to
their effective teamwork fighting.
