I washed some linen last night to prepare it for cutting, and I put vinegar in
the rinse. It came out much darker than the equivalent fabric (same supplier,
he matched a swatch of mine) we used on my boyfriend's tunic last year did
after its first wash. We'll have to see if it stays this dark or continues
bleeding on every wash as his does.
