Hi Wren! Use a flexible woven braid, that's easiest. The more flexible the
trim the easier it will curve by itself along the neckline. There are ways
to add a stiff trim but this requires tightening up one edge and loosening
the other. Doable but a huge pain in the neck. Use braids like this, minus
the gold Lurex:

Subject: [SCA-Garb] Help with trim
I am a garb beginner and I would like to add trim to a child's tunic with a
round neckline. Can someone point me toward a very easy to understand
tutorial online, or ping me off list with some 1-2-3 steps for the
successful addition of trim?
As this is my first trim attempt, I won't be heartbroken if it is less than
perfect, but I want to avoid any known blunders on round necklines.
