Correct. RR came first here in the West. I doubled it and added
timed rounds to all distances. The original ikac distances were 30,
40 and 50 yards, but too many archers had trouble finding the open
space for fifty. In correspondence with archers about ikac scores, I
was often asked what other information I had on archery. I sent out
the rules and rankings for the Royal Round to several kingdoms. And
it just grew from there.
