Attached, please find the call for papers and proposals for the upcoming
conference of the Eastern Community College Social Science Association.
We invite you and your colleagues to attend. Included in the attachment
is a suggested listing of presentation areas and possible topics in
addition to registration and proposal forms. This year's conference will
be hosted by the Mays Landing campus of Atlantic Cape Community College
on March 27-29, 2008. This will be the 34th Annual Conference of the
ECCSSA is an association of professional social scientists and related
professionals devoted to advancing research, practice, knowledge, and
understanding, in the social sciences for the progression of humankind.

This conference is both timely and pressing in addressing the many
changing roles that the social sciences encounter within the global
community. We invite you to dialogue with us about these dynamic and
Mays Landing campus of Atlantic Cape Community College is located within
minutes of Atlantic City and the beaches, boardwalks, and casinos. We
are soliciting presentations from professionals from any of the areas
pertaining to the changing role of the social sciences. Potential topics
include, but are not limited to, building a world community, research
and policy, teaching in a global community, travel and tourism, and
responsibilities as world citizens. The conference also calls for stu
dent presentations, panels, projects and exhibits. Student presenters
are encouraged to participate from other colleges and universities and
we are encouraging faculty to identify students from your classes that
are worthy or interested in participating.
Please note that applications for the call for papers and proposals are
due no later than February 1, 2008.
