Dear Partners and Friends,
We are very pleased to announce a call for proposals for the fifth round of the Stop TB Partnership's Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS): the world's leading small grant mechanism for grass-roots level community work on tuberculosis (TB).
Thanks to our donors and partners, with this fresh round, the Challenge Facility will continue supporting civil society activities designed to attract greater attention from governments, vulnerable people and the public to the prevention and care of this public health threat yet curable disease.
Successful applicants, who will receive grants between US$ 5,000 and US$ 20,000, must be civil society organisations, especially at grass roots level from countries affected by TB whose work focuses on advocacy.
For this round, in order to address one of the most crucial needs in TB, the special focus of the successful applications should be on activities that build the capacity of civil society to advocate for services and that contribute to the creation of a network of advocates prepared to speak out and raise consciousness about challenges in reaching affected communities with TB care and help solve bottlenecks in TB programmes or Global Fund grant implementation.
We encourage you and all those interested to carefully examine our guidelines, which are available along with detailed information on how to fill out the application form and apply, at www.stoptb.org/global/awards/cfcs The deadline to submit your applications is 30 SEPTEMBER 2012.
We wish you all good luck and we hope that with this round we will receive many good applications and, especially, we will contribute to the increasing of advocacy for TB and people suffering because of TB.
With best regards,
Stop TB Partnership
