Since Circuit City went out of business, the only electronics
place left in this area is Best Buy, and they only had iPods
I crossed Archos off my list after reading a couple reviews.
Apparently they're really buggy, crash a lot and the touch
screen is an older technology that doesn't work very well.
Cowon seems to be one of the favorites on that Anything But
iPod site, so I was thinking of getting something from them.
I'm leery about the iPod and Zune just because they lock you
into their own software, file format, music store, etc.
Although the Zune's "monthly pass" feature sounds interesting
(for $15 a month you can download as many songs as you want,
try them out and keep 10 of them).
