Here is a link to a short trailer of our television special for PBS about food and agriculture called Nourish: Food + Community. This half-hour, magazine style program is designed to address one of the critical issues of our time: How do we create a sustainable food system?
To complete our production, we need some additional youth interviews, much like you see in the trailer. I wonder if you have any current or past students who would like to be part of a national television special. We are looking for
articulate, energetic and outgoing individuals between the ages of 18 and 23. They dont have to be experts on food and agriculture, just enthusiastic and curious. We plan to conduct 30 45 minute interviews with about 10 ethnically diverse young adults. The interviews will take place on May 31st, at a sound stage in either Berkeley or San Francisco.
I have included a message below that you can forward to anyone who might be interested. Please feel free to pass this on to other professors, as well.
Thanks so much for your help! Dont hesitate to call me with any questions.

WANT TO BE ON PBS TELEVISION?
We hope you take advantage of this exciting opportunity and we look forward to meeting you.
Are you interested in the issues
of sustainable food and agriculture? Would you like to learn more about where your food comes from, and how it reaches you? Would you like to experience the process of making a television program?
We are looking for students to participate in our PBS special entitled Nourish: Food + Community. We are contacting universities across the Bay Area to find approximately 10 young adults who will participate in the Speaking Out segment of our program, where students share their thoughts and opinions about food and agriculture. If you are selected, we will need approximately 2 hours of your time Saturday, May 31st, at a sound stage in either Berkeley or San Francisco.
The final Nourish program will also include interviews with The Omnivores Dilemma author Michael Pollan, British chef Jamie Oliver, food justice activist Bryant Terry and author Anna Lappe.
