Hello lovely group!
This is Micha from Production I. I am not going to be in class on
Tues. (I informed Rachel last week,) but wanted to spread the word
ASAP about a framing issue, for those (like me) who did not know.
I recently played some test footage of the DVX100B on my T.V. and
realized that I should not using the whole LCD screen to frame. Many
of us have not seen our footage on a T.V. screen, but mine was cut, so
my framing suffered heavily. This may not be the case with other
cameras, but it seems to be with the DVX.
These results will vary from screen to screen, but I found that I am
going to have to do a lot of post production work to attempt to
salvage much of this footage.
The DVX has the disadvantage of *not* putting in action-safe lines on
the LCD viewfinder, so be extra careful, please.
More info on this can be found in the Final Cut Pro manual under
Happy Halloween, everyone and see you soon! *smiles*
