As the end of the year approaches, it is once again time to think about what you have created and want to share. What was your favorite panorama of the year 2012? Maybe you haven't taken it yet - better hurry!
We invite you to share your best work with the panoramic photography community and the world by joining the "Best of 2012" World Wide Panorama event.
The World Wide Panorama is a non-profit association founded in 2004. It sponsors quarterly and annual events promoting 360-degree interactive panoramic photography and photographers. The WWP website now features more than 7000 panoramas by over a thousand participants.
Everyone who creates this type of photographic image is encouraged to participate. For the event "Best of 2012" any one panoramic photograph taken in 2012 can be entered. For the two year-long events "Forests" and "Culture" up to four panoramas taken this year can be entered, and should reflect the theme.
To participate, first prepare a base image suitable for an interactive panorama, then log on to the WWP Prep Server at http://contribute.worldwidepanorama.org/gen/
and follow the instructions.
The WWP treats panoramic images seriously, as reflections of our place and time, important personal and artistic statements. So be prepared to support your image with full and accurate data about where it was taken and what it shows. You will be contributing to an important archive, a truly world wide panorama.
