We have (2) large format canons here an ipf 9000 & and ipf 8400 ..they make these down to 17" the ipf 5100.. We also have (2) 44" epsons a 24" and a 17" All these printers run roll paper and sheet.. The Canons will print significantly longer images then the Epsons.. The longest we've ran was 55 feet .. Anyway the Canon IPF series are great printers and for us much more trouble free then the Epsons.. Perfect for panoramas.. And they do sell rool paper .. Epson's material runs thru them as does 3rd party materials..jimbo----- Original Message -----From: John HoughtonSent: Thursday, November 22, 2012 8:38 AMSubject: [PanoToolsNG] Re: Panorama printer with paper rolls?" an da 17"

Printing panoramas has long been fraught with difficulties. Canon printers generally will not print long since they don't sell long (i.e. roll) paper. Epson printers have been the printers of choice because they will often print much longer than their modest specifications suggest. Frequently the max length is quoted as 44", but with the later versions of Photoshop (CS2 onwards) you can print up to 129". That is the limit for my Espon 2100 (an A3+ printer). Otherwise, a RIP may be the solution to overcome limitations of the standard printer driver - e.g. ImagePrint.
