In conjunction with the Coast Guard Foundations 40th anniversary celebration of service to the United States Coast Guard, the gala will honor the heroic efforts of Coast Guard men and women in the Pacific area over the past year.
Guest speakers will include Master of Ceremonies James Gabbert, radio and television broadcast legend; Ron Landmann, former customs representative to the Organized Crime, Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Interagency Task Force West, and law enforcement trainer; and VADM Jody Breckenridge, the newly appointed Pacific Area Commander.
In addition to recognizing the guardians who enforce maritime law, protect our homeland and preserve the environment, the event will raise funds to support the Coast Guard Foundations important projects and programs that seek to improve the lives and performance of Coast Guard members, their families and Coast Guard Academy cadets, including college scholarships for children, as well as grants for enlisted members.
The Coast Guard Foundations Annual Pacific Area Awards Dinner will take place at 7:30 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, 335 Powell Street, San Francisco, California.
Individual dinner ticket $250, couples $350. Various sponsor levels.
