Ahoy Pacific Merchant Marine Council Members:
We are proud to be a Partnering Organization with FuturePorts for their annual conference, "Strong Ports = Strong California - Collaborating for Success!" PMMC Members receive the discounted registration rate of $99 per person. Our council has been a Future Ports Strategic Partner for the past three but this is our first year for sponsoring the annual conference. Even at this early date, nearly 300 have signed up to attend. I'll be there and know at least three other council members will be attending as well. It preceeds our NLUS National Convention at the Hilton - about six blocks away.
Why you should attend: The conference will address numerous/critical topics facing Southern California's Goods Movement industry. A wide array of experts from across the sector will include the San Pedro Bay Ports, government, regulatory agencies, community and business leaders. This year's summit will focus on bringing all stakeholders together to collaborate on solutions that ensure a healthy California economy and environment!
When/Where: Wednesday, June 19 at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Long Beach, CA.
How to register: Visit www.futureports.org, and click on the "Register" button. To receive the discounted rate, enter "PMMC 2013" in the "comments" box.
As for a place to stay, let me know you are seeking accomodation and I'll tell you where Teddy and I will be.
