Greetings Father Symeon, My name is Michael Rogers. I reside in North Canton , Ohio . My etnicity is predominantly German with some lines of Dutch and French. I am a convert and was baptized into the Faith on September,20th 1992. In my time being an Orthodox Christian, I have belonged two several different diocese. The first being the Orthodox Church of N.& S. America . This particular jurisdiction is now defunct, or inactive (?)due to legal matters revolving around the last will and testament of the last remaining Bishop. I spent several years in the Antiochian Archdiocese, and finally found my home at my current parish of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church located in Mogadore , Ohio under Bishop Job Diocese of the Midwest (O.C.A.). I have ben attending there for approximately ten years now. My status is mere Laiety. My interest in the Western Rite of the Orthodox Church is predominantly in the history, liturgical practices, and Saints of the British Isles . There is a great deal of mystery regarding the early Church within the British Isles , from the legend of the Holy Grail, Avalon and King Arthur, and the accounts and legends of the Celtic Saints. I am also interested in the historic finds of the Celtic Ogams and Petroglyphs pre-date other pre conceived notions of the first explorers to reach America . My aspirations, if God wills it so, is to become a priest and serve the Church the remainder of my life. The Liturgies that interest me most are the Sarum Rite, St. James Liturgy, and the Stowe Missal, even though not all the documents were found. I would prefer to follow the old Julian Calendar. Father, I appreciate the opportunity to be considered for your Yahoo Group OrthodoxWest. Thank You, Unworthy Sinner, Michael
