Head of the Polish Orthodox Church deplores the transfer of the Uniate
headquarters to Kiev
Moscow, October 4, Interfax - The primate of the Polish Orthodox Church,
Metropolitan Savva, expressed regret at the transfer of the Uniate
primatial see from Lvov to Kiev as there is no Greek-Catholic flock there
and expressed full support for the Russian Orthodox Church in this matter.
Metropolitan Savva stated this during his meeting with Patriarch Alexy II
of Moscow and All Russia on Tuesday in Moscow, one of the participants in
the meeting informed Interfax.
According to him, Metropolitan Savva and bishops of the Polish Orthodox
Church often come to visit the neighbouring dioceses in Ukraine in their
