In case you haven’t yet heard, the clergy and parishioners of St. Mark of Ephesus in Roslindale voted yesterday to leave Metropolitan Ephraim and apply to be received under Archbishop Kallinikos. (More precisely, the clergy had already decided to leave, and the parishioners voted to go with them.)
HOCNA hierarchs have exhibited a reckless disregard for the Faith over the last few years. Their cavalier attitude toward the Doctrines and Canons of our Holy Church has led them to espouse two heresies that undermine the very foundation of what we believe. The heresy of Posthumous Illumination and Conversion, as developed in the series of articles known as Awake Sleeper, undermines the necessity of living the Life in Christ. The heresy of Name-Worshipping leads to Gnostic pantheism.
Much has been written and said about the heresy of Posthumous Illumination and Conversion. The attached three articles provide all that is necessary for anyone who wishes to learn about the Name-Worshipping heresy.
The first article, Against Name-Worshipping, was authored by Fr. Haralambos.
The second article, Smokescreen, was authored by Fr. Maximus.
The Third article, What a Name-Glorifier Is, was authored by Nicholas Snogren
