The book that really got me thinking about vines was the Wasowski "Native
Texas Plants". It covers some of the best choices, and does a great job of
detailing how they can be used. The Wildflower Center demonstrates vines
quite effectively - Virginia & 7-leaf creeper, Texas wisteria, grapes, coral
& white honeysuckle, purple & red clematis, Carolina jessamine. I don't
think they have a separate publication that addresses just vines, though.
It sometimes takes a good hike to really understand how a vine can be used.
I never imagined snailseed vine could climb as high as I've seen it, and
briar is suprisingly attractive in mass.
