WHAT: A tour of Austin to see and learn to identify native and
WHEN: Saturday June 25 from 9:30 til about 12:30, then lunch for
those who can
WHO: Landon Lockett, who discovered stands of native Texas palms
and hybrids and who spoke at a CAMN meeting and led this tour a
few months ago. He has loads of information to convey and has
graciously agreed to lead the field trip again.
IN PREPARATION: Read these two files on the CAMN eGroup and
bring the 'ID thing' along on the field trip.

WHERE: We'll start at Landon's home as there are palms in his
yard and some nearby.
Exit Mopac at Enfield Road and go west on Enfield. Keep going to
Exposition, where there will be a stop-light. Cross Exposition
and keep going straight, past Hopi Trail and Dilman, until you come
to Pecos. Turn right on Pecos. Stevenson Ave. will be the sixth
street on the right after you turn on Pecos. Turn right on Stevenson.
Landon's house, 3210 Stevenson Ave., will be the sixth house on
the left after you turn on Stevenson. Note young palms in front yard.
