It is broad, but the comments for the chemistry assessment go for the
Since Biology is such a huge discipline you have to be ready for anything.
Don't forget the connecting to other discipline question and the questions
in the other sciences. I did not study at all. I feel that no amount of
studying would really have helped me since Biology is such a broad
discipline. I did feel the questions were fair, they just happened to hit a
topic or two that I don't teach so I wasn't as prepared as I could have
been. Good thing I scored high enough on the 4 entries to counteract my test
If you are studying, get an AP level text and go over the chapter summaries
and brush up on your weak areas. You could also get the old AP Bio essays
and see if you can answer those. Here is the website.
I like the suggestion from another member that said to use the science
content standards as a guideline. That sounded like great advice to me. You
will need to know your Biology to a much greater depth than you teach to
