1) Field Trip to the Mendocino South Coast
Saturday, March 13: Bird-watching field trip to Pt. Arena, Manchester State Park, and the Garcia River with Peregrine Audubon Society. Inexperienced birders welcome. Bring binoculars (loaners may be available), rain gear, water, lunch, and your favorite bird ID book. Meet at Long's parking lot (Perkins and Orchard in Ukiah) at 7:20 a.m. Please arrive with your car fueled up but also have your gear packed so you are ready to carpool. Leave time is 7:30 sharp. Coast folks may meet the group at Arena Cove between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m. For more information please call 467-1341
2) The Birds of Peru
Tuesday, March 16: Peregrine Audubon Society will present a slideshow entitled The Birds of Peru by Matthew Matthiesen. Expect to see many extraordinary photos of birds and scenery, including pictures of Macchu Picchu. The slideshow will be preceded by a potluck dinner. Join us at the Methodist Church, 270 N. Pine St, Ukiah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16. Bring a tasty dish and your own plates and silverware. Park in the back of the church, on Bush St., and follow signs to Room 4, upstairs.
