Hello everyone, thanks for signing up for MegaCon2011.
Pre-Mustering and Mustering
Quite a few of you have asked about "mustering". This year, at MegaCon2011, we are going to attempt to "pre-muster" which means that you will have a seat at a specific GM before you even get to the Con. This way, you can walk in and sit down where you know you're going to sit. However, this requires us to lock down Pre-Registration on the 18th (11:59pm ET). After that point, you cannot switch tables, or sign up for any tables. We will try to get a Muster map up as soon as we can.
To help us with pre-mustering balanced tables, it is important that you list the character role and level that you will be playing in that adventure. If you left that blank because you had not yet decided what character you would be playing, or the character you listed has leveled since you signed up, please go to the Warhorn site and update that information before the Pre-Registration deadline on the 18th.
Now, as for mustering at the con, we will ask GMs to be at their table to receive players at least 30 minutes before the designated time (e.g. if your slot starts at 1p, GMs need to be at the table at 12:30p.) At 15 minutes before, we will ask players to check their signups and move to their designated tables. We will also ask Walk-ins to move to the area in which they want to play and work with GMs and Players pre-registered to make sure everyone has a legal table to play at.
At five minutes before the slot, we will take any empty or below minimum tables to combine with other tables, or split full tables to make sure everyone can play. However, in order to be guaranteed a seat, you must preregister on Warhorn. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a table (Slot 7 we are using 100% of the tables), and players that pre-registered on Warhorn get a higher priority than walk-ins.
While we understand that players may have requests about certain players they would prefer to play with (or not play with), that is not something we get involved with during the pre-mustering process. If you would like to change tables, you can do so at the convention, with the consent of the player you would like to swap with.
Starting at the exact time of module start, Dominick will roll off for prizes and all tables will get started. Just note that each slot has one Player and one GM prize this year. Some slots may have more prizes. The more you play or judge the better you odds are of winning a door prize.
Messes, Storage and Empty Tables
Empty tables are not storage units. If you leave your belongings at an empty table, you have given everyone the authorization to touch and move it. We will post notices of this. MegaCon staff suggests you leave your stuff with a trusted person or carry it with you at all times.
MegaCon, RPG staff, and Orange County Convention Center is not responsible for the following:
- Lost or Stolen Belongings
- Damaged Belongings
- People touching your stuff
- People eating your lunch and claiming the “Green wizard shot the food”
You have been warned!

MegaCon RPG staff will be providing basic sheets. If you have need for anything custom, you will need to let us know ahead of time.
