I personally would recommend even if just a part time getting in an actual Dr.'s office and getting hands on training. I have worked with many post graduates from these billing and coding schools, which are waaay too expensive, and they all seem to be clueless. Save your money and get certified at a weekend course after your hands on learning at the Dr.'s office.

Subject: [MedicalBillers] Billing courses?
Hello all and belated Merry Christmas and early Happy New Year. I am currently a medical transcriptionist and would be interested in adding coding and billing to my skill set. I have 6 years of HMO experience as well. Are there any online schools that teach medical billing that any of you would recommend? I did my transcription training online and thought it was pretty good.
Or, if not online, what would you recommend?
Many thanks for the advice!
