Thanks Bruce. That is encouraging about MAPC. I wonder if they can help advance the proposed path along the Mystic River.
Thanks for the link to the picture Ken. This will be a great addition to that intersection. Crossing Rt 28 at that point in either direction is awkward at best. Now at least there will be a reasonable connection to Assembly Row for shopping, and the bike path (present and future) along the south side of the river past Assembly Row, and ultimately all the way over to Rt 99 (Broadway) and Sullivan Square.
It looks like MAPC is heating up the discussion of how to connect Rivers Edge Drive, the Malden River Path and the Northern Strand trail across the Mystic River, and into downtown Boston. Right now the only way to get downtown from those areas is to pick up either Rt 99 or Rt 28, neither of which is particularly friendly to bicycle traffic, and likely considered unusable by lesser experienced bicycle operators.
