IRS wrap up testimony in tax trial
Special IRS Agent Scott Schneider wrapped up nearly 2 1/2 days of testimony in the trial of Pensacola evangelist and tax protestor Kent Hovind and his wife, Jo.
This morning the defense questioned Schneider about his experience in Iraq as an Army interrogator.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Heldmyer went over Schneiders credentials. She asked about Schneiders authority to issue summons and his ability to seize property in the IRS investigation.
The prosecution next will call Regents Bank employee Jennifer Johnson. One more witness will be called after Johnson, and then the prosecution is expected to rest.
The defense has subpoenaed 10 witnesses.
