This is how it appears to Ankill, but most of Elly's actions are just
play-acting on her part to lure the host into displaying his modus
operandi, as part of her previously-formed intent to catch Ankill
red-handed. After all, Elly strongly suspects Ankill is a sex-killer,
and she herself is a thrill-seeker rather than a complete imbecile.

OK ; here we go...
"Something goes wrong. What character or characters does this
unexpected event affect?"
Elly imbibes too much of the house drink - laced up to the eyeballs on
the cocktail of drugs contained within, she wanders through the
manison, occasionally stumbling into furniture. She finds a spare
bedroom, vomits copiously on the floor, attempts to remove her
clothes, but passes out semi undressed on the floor.
All this is captured on Ankhills hidden cameras, and her vulnerable
state is obvious to a number of the other guests...
