I talked to a fellow who bought some stuff at Dick Lord's estate and he believed that Dick died at the very last race held at Marlboro. His recollection from the family was that Dick needed to get the race in to keep his license current and that he went out in his TD and had a heart attack on the course and died. Any among the group that can confirm or deny this account???
Last I heard on Jim Robinson was that he is still living (in NY?). That was at least a couple years back now. I will make a call and see if that is still the case and if there is a number for him.
