Again, you are absolutely right Gary, I certainly do not get how
anyone could misunderstood anything for what we were trying to say
here on the subject about protecting ourselves against harm that is
likely to come in anybody's direction especially in your own home.

> Maybe I've been misunderstood I never said to do anything illegal
or that I was scared to death.
> It was stated that some drug dealer was shooting a pellet gun at
the woman's house and she was in need of more police protection. So
I said "consider" a shotgun because if things get really bad the
police might not get there fast enough with their guns to protect
> Criminals run from police because they have guns and that is why
we call the police. Hopefully the drug boys don't have guns and they
did not mean anything when they shot at her house and hopefully the
police will stop the activity before it get any worse but that might
be too much to hope for.
> Having a firearm is a huge responsibility so one does need to be
comfortable with all that it involves I understand that, but don't
make it seem that you don't believe in the safety that guns provide
because if police carried sticks you would not call them. And if our
neighbors in question were the types of neighbors that you invite
over to watch the game or sit with the children while you were out
we would not need this web site in the first place.
