With control of the MI House of Representatives in the hands of the
Democrat Party that is lead by a Democrat Governor that has said that
she would not support any tax reform that would "place business taxes
on individuals," (taxes that individuals are already paying in higher
prices) it is unlikely that the MI legislature, by the necessary 2/3
vote, would place the MI FairTax proposal on the ballot. This is one
of the two means by which a proposal can be placed on the ballot.
The other means by which a proposal can be placed on the ballot is by
a petition initiative, which has been our preferred method because we
can then assure that the MI FairTax will not be compromised via the
legislative process and emerge as a proposal that we may not
recognize or support. Other than the likely elimination of one means
by which we can get our proposal on the ballot, nothing has changed.

are causing us to lose our jobs because the products we produce can't
compete with foreign produced products, they will sign our petition
and vote for the MI FairTax. Our primary mission is education and
this is to be carried out by every means possible at every

have them placed on my car, and that of my wife and grown children
and on their spouses cars. Use them to spread the word. Just send
me a self addressed business sized envelope and, if possible, a
donation of any size to defray our printing cost for the bumper
stickers and brochures.
Please make checks out to: "MI FairTax or Roger Buchholtz". (My name
must also appear on the check as we haven't yet formed a legal entity
and opened a bank account. We are now evaluating which legal
entities we should form to best achieve our MI FairTax objectives and
hope to have the entities formed very soon.)
