The kurobox install integrates perfectly with respect to the init scripts,
while the yellowdog version requires some tweaking.
The kurobox version is user space based, while the yellowdog version uses
the nfsd.o kernel module.
There may be some incompatibility with the yellowdog rpc.statd. I'm still
looking into that.
As far as raw performance, the yellowdog NFS server is nearly twice as
fast (for bulk data transfers) when configured for 4 threads; I suspect
mostly due to the kernel/user difference.
I'm going to pull down the yellowdog source RPMs and build a version from
the native ppc_82xx gcc to see if there is a noticeable difference and to
figure out what is going on with rpc.statd...
