Electronics stores sell copper tape like this:
Wrap it completely around the wires, then solder a small wire from the tape to a nice ground plane area on the main PCB. That will keep a lot of the interference inside the foil.
The wires that should be so shielded are:
(1) The wires leading to the IR dome (probably best to ground this shield to the negative side of one of the capacitors on the receiver dome PCB)
(2) The wires leading to the display LED bars
(3) The wires leading to the intelligent accessory rail
Finally, wrap the main PCB in electrical tape (to act as an insulator) and then in copper foil tape, and solder a wire from that foil to the battery box negative.
That should lock down all internal interference as best as can be done.
