I am currently in San Francisco on the big US tour giving lectures on
conservation of threatened birds in Peru. This night we will take a
greyhound to LA, where we will only have one day. My wife wants to see
the Getty Museum and I would like to pick up some birds which I have not
seen yet in San Francisco.
Does anyone have time to show a Swede and his peruvian wife around. It is
a pain to be carless in California. We will naturally pay for gas and lunch.
My targets are California Gnatcatcher, Murrlets, Nuthall Woodpecker,
Tricolored Blackbird, Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol
We will probably leave for Santa Barbara in the late afternoon.
The other problem we have is carrying too much luggage...
I will be incomunicado untill tomorrow, but will check in with Satie Airane,
Santa Barbara on the phone before 10 PM tonight.
Her number is 1-805 965 0895
If able to help us, please leave contact details with her.
If interested in my talk in Santa Barbara she will be able to give further
details. Too bad there was not time to fix a talk also in LA, but there may
be a next time....
