Dear Group -
I think I have posted this link at least once before. I respectfully request that those who need to, read it; in particular page 39, "Respect Other People's Time and Bandwidth," and Chapter 6, beginning on page 65, "Netiquette for Discussion Groups."
Most of us have unlimited access to the Internet, meaning if we want to stay online for 24 hours a day we can do so without incurring additional fees. Other people throughout the world do not have this luxury and pay for their Internet access or connection by the hour. Others have to pay for their Internet connection by the minute. This means that for every single minute they are online, they are charged, and sometimes these fees are exorbitant.
Please--let us have consideration for everyone throughout the world. Before hitting send, pause and think: Does my post have pertinence and relevance to the group-at-large, or should I send this email privately since it does not concern the entire group, but rather one individual. I fear that we will lose members if we continue in the present manner, and I think this has already occurred. The members that were lost could be the ones we need the most!
I am sorry, but I feel there's been too much junk/spam generated by this group lately! And I am also sorry, but those people questioning or disagreeing with me are probably the ones who need to read the link below the most!
Also read the Group's FAQ, please. I am 99 percent certain all of your questions can be answered by reading and following the instructions contained in it.
I did not mean to offend, but to help. Let us be considerate of others.
