Hello everyone and thankyou for the quick welcome..
I believe that my grandfather was in a camp that would do a role call every
morning and would go through the alphabet to pick out the people that would
next be executed.
When he knew that his letter was next he and two others were helped by a
nurse in the camp to escape..
What happend from his escape up to 1944 are very sketchy. but he ended up
being part of the polish freedom fighters that jumped at Arnhem....
He survived that too and lived in england untill his death in 1984.
We have no record of where he lived or his family. other than his mother was
Lucyna Kulesza and his father was of high ranking in the forces and his name
was jan plotnicki.
I did find a document mentioning a Jan plotnicki who was the
aide-to-the-camp does anyone know what this means...this was in 1946 in
