Dear Mr Trevithick and Mr. Jordan,
I am writing this e-mail in order to complain and express sorrow for the contents of the programme “Nightwaves” broadcasted on the 19th March.
Mr Philip Dodd was interviewing Anthony Seldon from Wellington College in Berkshire and during the interview Mr Seldon accused Poles of being involved, together with Germans and other Europeans, in executions of Jews. I am aware of the fact that Mr Dodd cannot be responsible for what his interviewees say, however, he should react when someone is falsifying history and, unfortunately, it did not happen.
I am certain that it will not be the matter in dispute that Poland was a victim during the Second World War. It is extremely important to know that the Holocaust was the idea created and carried out by Germany therefore saying that Poles, on an equal footing with Germans, were involved in this tragedy is unacceptable.
I would expect BBC 3 to rectify this information during the next episode of “Nightwaves”.
