Martin, you are correct, thank you for reminding me, many of us forget, not intentionally I’m sure of all the sadness and losses of this year, there have been many, we unintentionally get so caught up in other stuff we forget about the fragile ones.. Condolences to you and all members who suffered personal, painful loss this year. Thankfully we have their memory in Virtual Museum.
Unless you are on the receiving end of loss, so many times in this world, it is a case of it is happening to someone else not me; this is where we as group should have empathy and support each other.
Stefan created KS group for the very reason of these revered Poles to have a place and memory and where their children could feel at home and not forget what they had sacrificed so we could be free. We are one people, one group and this is why we are together for remembrance and recognition and research, of our beloved lost hero’s, also trying to bring families together, recording truth in history for future generations.
My condolences to the families and friends of these two revered Poles from the tragic but resilient wartime diaspora. It has been a very hard painful year for many of us in the group, with Stefan losing his own father and the loss of both my parents in the past two months.
This is why we are together in this group - to ensure that the lives and histories of our parents, grandparents and other relations are not forgotten. We all do this in our own way, with the group and the virtual museum at its heart.
