Please welcome Leonard Nowak to the group. He is searching for information
on what may have happened to Franciszek, Józef and Antoni Pawlowski - all
arrested by the Soviets in occupied Stanislawów in 1939-40.
Len, one source of information is the Karta Centre in Poland. Another is
Aleksander Gurjanow at the Memorial Committee in Moscow, which can access
NKVD archives. See details at
Finally, it should be possible to write to the archives in the Ukraine as
well (Stanislawów is now Ivano-Frankivsk and is part of the Ukraine, not
Russia). Can anybody in the group suggest how Leonard could best access
