I've just seen the photos of Krasnovodsk and the ships - dear God, no wonder my Dad would never talk about it! He and his brother and their mother were there and then sailed across the Caspian sea in one of those old ships. They were in Persia in 1942. But thank you for sharing the photos, and I can now see what some of their conditions were like. They both joined Anders Army in Soviet Union - Dad joined PAF in Iraq then to Britain. His brother Julek stayed with Anders Army and went to Palestine and Monte Cassino, then after to Britain. He did return home to Poland. Dad was in Capetown, South Africa, and the information given about Cape Town, has given me hope that I may find him on a list somewhere. Thank
