Please welcome Ben to the group. He is currently researching his family history. Ben's grandfather Fizel Gingold was born in Mlawa in 1922,and moved to Ostroleka. and then Pabianice. At the outbreak of WWII he fled to Bialystok and from there he was deported to a camp in Arkhangelsk in a village near Kargopol called Pojaminsk. After "amnesty" Fizel went to Turkiestan in Kazakhstan, where he remained for the rest of the war. After the war he returned to Poland and lived briefly in Krakow and from there went to Australia via Germany and France.
Ben is keen to learn more about his family history from the group and looks forward to participating in group discussions.
