We're honored that "Maps and Shadows," by Krysia Jopek, is the September Book Discussion Selection at Otis Library in Norwich, Connecticut.
This coming Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. the author will talk about her award-winning debut novel—based on her family's experience during World War II.
Krysia’s father will join her to share his experience in being deported as an adolescent from the family farm in eastern Poland to Siberia, and his subsequent service in the Polish Second Corps under General Anders.
Otis Library, 261 Main Street, Norwich, CT, (860) 889-2365, www.otislibrarynorwich.org. This event is free and open to the public.
If you live near Norwich, please come! And please introduce yourself to Krysia as a member of the Kresy-Siberia yahoogroups:-)
