As I understand it he had his American citizenship taken away, also to clarify he was in the auxilliary police force working with the nazi's, is it possible to find out how true charges against him are? He has said he was Ukranian. By the way I never met him, just heard of the man. I know of someone who would be interested. His name was mentioned in last weeks Parade magazine.

I bet his first name was Osip, a Hebrew variant of Joseph.
His surname is likely to be Firiszczak or Firyszczak (unless it's Fryszczak/Friszczak ) in Polish,
and transcribed into Russian and/or Ukrainian in a couple of ways.
Don't think it'll be easy.....
