My father and my uncle were called up in that way late in March 1939.
When Hitler entered Sudety in early 1939 and encroached on Polish borders from Czechoslawakjan side an additional front ,at that point ,opened up thretening Poland from South West; totally unexpected.
There was no order to mobilize, but many rezervists were called up ( in cicha mobilizacja)to join their units and were posted in that area and in Pomorze as well , I believe. Total mobilization was declared later in August, I think of 1939.
