Thank you so much for responding so quickly regarding the
abbreviations! I am going to print everything up and send it to BC
where my in-laws live. I wish they weren't so fearful of technology
and got a computer! My father-in-law would love this web site and
all the other amazing links posted in here.
My mother-in-law had told me that her father was the commander of
the police precinct in Wolczyn (now Volchin, Belarus), so I imagine
that the title Przodownik fits with her description? Would that be
the equivalent of a Captain or Commandant?
