I’m delighted that you took the trouble to look up the data about my family’s deportation.
The information you list is indeed that of my family and Eugeniusz was no other than myself.
I’m glad that you still remember my book “Straws in the Wind”. I continue to sell copies, mostly to the English. I also give talks which I entitle “The Other Holocaust”. Most readers are very kind about my book and most English listeners find my story new to them.
I think we all still have a major task ahead of us in disseminating information about our experiences.
Incidentally, I learned the Cyrillic alphabet, and some Russian, while I worked in Moscow. Some 8 years ago I was employed by an English firm to work in Moscow as a Building Services Engineer.
Ironically, I actually wrote the major part of my book while working in Moscow on their projects. You might say the Russians, at least in part, paid their dept to me.
