Louise, II looked at the cyrilic spelling of your name of Blazejowski; it is given in your little document as Blaziowski )??????????( which differs from theMessage 1 of 2 , Feb 6, 2007View SourceLouise, II looked at the cyrilic spelling of your name of Błażejowski; it is given in your little document as Błażiowski )Блажиовски( which differs from the one in Karta list.Another spelling on your previous bits of receipts at the posiolek was Блажейовский. Because of this it is more difficult to search. In spite of these differences there does not appear to be an entry in the Memorial list of names on the main site, nor on the Sverdlovsk oblast site either. This is at www.memo.ru/memory/ekater/index.htm and again if you l.double click on the name you should get details of the person you are searching. I am not sure the reason why IVDEL camps in Urals were mentioned to you as the Karta list does not specifically say so; nor does it refer to Kherson near Odessa.antoni530
Dear Anton Thank you so much for your help. It was always worth a try! At least I know he is not on there. It seems the reference to Camp 5I ITL was a misinterpretation. In fact, as Aneta has found out it means 5 years hard labour! She has been in contact with Karta for me and obtained an enormous amount of information for me, which seems to source everything back to records in Lviv. Still no mention of where my father went to after Lwow. According to my great-aunty in Gdynia, my grnadmother was told my grandfather was sent to Kherson, but we have nothing else to confirm this. And it would seem from information that other Kresy members have given me that he is not on the list of those killed in Lwow prisons and therefore must have been moved, so Kherson is still a possibility. So far, everything stops at Lwow.I can only hope that, based on Linder's advice, he was taken by the Russians which means there is a good chance his death is documented somewhere!I have been searching since 1991 on behalf of my father and grandmother and will keep searching.Louise BłażejowskaSydney, Australia
