As an instructional designer in Apple Product Documentation, you will
� Work on assigned projects to deliver user documentation for Apple products
� Evaluate Apple products to determine user documentation requirements
� Work with cross-functional product teams to define and coordinate project requirements and schedule of deliverables
� For software products, work with engineering teams to develop interface text and implement appropriate contextual help
� Design and communicate instructional suite plans, determining appropriate media for product instruction
� Work with cross-functional engineering and product marketing teams to deliver product documentation
� Research and analyze products to identify user tasks that require documentation
� Develop content for print, onscreen help, and other media, writing in a clear and economical style following established Apple guidelines
� Author HTML onscreen help content using APD authoring tools
� Build onscreen help and submit to engineering build process
� Produce production quality PDF documents
B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, English, or Liberal Arts and at least four years' instructional design/technical writing experience developing print and onscreen user documentation. Experience with instructional/information design and interface design preferred. Proficiency or experience in programming, scripting, and information architecture desirable. Experience with any one or more of the following also desirable: Windows, UNIX, and usability testing. Knowledge of information architecture, XML, and related technologies desirable.
