Any time news about CA and potential problems come about, some Isles
fans start putting the two together as if the Islanders will be sold
or the owners will turn their back on the team.
I think it's all a bunch of non-sense and are two seperate issues
which has nothing to do with hockey unless our owners make it an
issue regarding hockey.
As far as the NY Times, were talking about a paper that is supposed
to have a standard of being the best publication in the country, but
does act like the Post on occasion.
For instance the pathetic comments by the Knicks players were awful,
but these were made back in November. NY Times magazine decided to
release the article just before the playoffs five months later ?
Was this to stir up trouble, or report the truth ? Why does the truth
have to wait five months to be reported ?
I am no fan of the Knicks or the Garden because of the politics they
play with this politically-correct image B.S that is as big a crock
as anything Dave Checkettes talking about tradition, while raising
tickets. Their employees also know they better support their teams on
air or look for work
elsewhere, just ask Bob Page what happens when you knock MSG ?
And I have noticed many negative articles on CA since they took over
the Isles, so you never know what motivates some people to write
What is funny is that those business practices never made their way
to Mike Milbury.
