Besides even with a guy like Hamilton a good scorer we still would
have not made the playoffs because we had terrible defense all year.
The only guys who were good were Campoli and Gervais. That's just

I think the Sound Tigers sign Hamilton and forget Ed Campbell or
Eric Godard playing on the top lines and they win or at least get
points out of a lot of road games they lost which was the difference
in being in playoff contention or qualifying. I also think Hamilton
would have done much better in a situtation he was familiar with with
the Tigers than the time it took him to overcome his injury and
settle into a new situtation in Hartford.
Signing Ed Campbell was like bringing back Dave Roche to replace
Trent Hunter for me. I thought the Tigers would be good enough anyway
but they could not score nearly enough. Cronin's comments about
Papineau and Mapletoft being invisible too often were telling enough
