KJ, Sven & Martinek will probably be the only
defensemen returning to our lineup next year. Hamrlik
and Niinimaa will not be resigned and Aucoin will
probably be awarded a huge arbitration salary making
us unable to sign him.
Cairns had a couple of brain farts in game one of the
NHL quarterfinals and some people would argue that he
should have his name on the stanley cup for helping
tampa survive the first round but that's not how I'll
remember him. I'll always remember Eric Carins holding
his finger up as the ref escourted him off the of the
ice near the end of the Islanders vs Toronto
quarterfinals game after he destroyed Shane Corson.
What cairns lacked in talent he made up for with
strength and heart. Thanks for six great seasons
buddy. Best of luck in Florida.
